My home for 3 nights in Budapest...

All I want for Christmas is...Budapest, Prague, Berlin...

So after a year of living together in Australia Chris and I are heading back to the UK for Christmas. But I've decided I've flown there so many times now and still never seen anything that I'm going to leave Chris to catch up with the boys and his family and head off to Europe for a little girl time...eeeee!!

Initially I had planned to do a Contiki or Topdeck tour...and had talked the man into not thinking it was completely weird for a girlfriend to want to go off on a crazy, wild tour all by herself...but I simply couldn't find a good one within the time frames I needed in order to get back to the fam for Christmas and also to spend enough time with the boys and their girls and all of our friends and family.

So I started looking at flights and late night net surfing on the couch with an iPad and a glass of wine turned into a decision that I would resume my solo 2010 tour of Europe 2 years later and sans my little English boyfriend. Hostel-hopping, crossing your fingers you meet some cool people to occupy your time, high street shopping in various fashion capitals and creating memories that last a lifetime...hell yes I want to do that again!

And within a few hours I had booked flights from London to Budapest, Budapest to Berlin and Berlin back to London in time for Christmas!! Yay! I still want to fit in a few days in Prague and a day trip to Barcelona but take it one step at a time shall I? We've also got two days in Paris booked for the end of our trip together so this trip will be the most of Europe I've ever seen when the last trip consisted of mainly 7 days too hungover in Madrid to leave, a couple of days in Barcelona and then about 2 weeks in Ibiza where I met Chris and then ended up going home with him to England.

Is it odd for an attached woman to travel Europe on her own staying in hostels, partying by night and shopping up a storm by day and maybe trudging the streets, learning the ropes with her new SLR? Maybe? But who cares! I'm doing it! Enjoy the stories, photos, memories and outfits. Bon voyage! x
